Robert Najlis was born and trained as an artist in New York City. He currently resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Robert traces his painting lineage directly back to Hans Hoffman, with thanks and gratitude to his principal teacher Frank O'Cain. Robert has also studied assiduously the works of Cézanne, Miró, Rembrandt, Qi Bai-shi and Matisse. In addition, he studied Chinese Calligraphy, and speaks Chinese fluently. Robert brings all of these influences and more together to create his own unique style
